DOGS

We know that some dogs are very social and others do not play well with others.  We try to focus on your dog’s walk and stay away from other dogs that we don’t know.  This is for your dog’s safety, as we cannot predict the actions of other dogs.  In addition, all dogs are leashed during walks without exception.  As much as we know how dogs love to run off leash, we have to think of their safety and your peace of mind first.  Our walkers put leashes on inside of your home and do not take them off until they are safe at home. 

 

PUPPIES

Puppies’ needs are constantly changing and we will work with you to train your puppy by keeping their schedule as consistent as possible.  We understand that they have tiny bladders so they are always a priority for our time.  We also want to take every precaution possible to keep your puppies healthy and safe.  Please let us know if your puppy has not had all of their shots so we can keep them away from other dogs. 

 

HEALTH

Please let us know about any medical conditions or allergies that your pets have.  If they get sick while you are away, we will take them to your local vet or emergency clinic.  We are happy to administer medication per client or vet instructions.  If medication may need to be refilled while you are away, please make sure we have permission to pick them up. 

 

EMERGENCY

In the case of an emergency, all efforts to reach you will be made.  However, if you cannot be reached, we will take your pet to your local vet or an emergency facility.  By using our services, you authorize milWALKeeDOG and its representatives to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian.  You also agree to be financially responsible for all fees for emergency/veterinary care and for the time expense according to our rate plan.  Client releases milWALKeeDOG from any liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense of pets.

 

KEYS

We require two sets of keys for your home.  One set is for your walker/sitter and one set for the office in case of emergencies.  If you choose to keep a hidden key at your home instead of giving us our own copies, please note that you will be charged $5 for the walker/sitter time if the key is not there. 

 

FEES

A $5 fee will be assessed for your walker/sitter’s drive time if you forget to cancel an appointment or leave a key.

A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks.
