CONSULTATION

We will set up an initial consultation so you can meet the owner/manager of the company.  It is always good to have the whole family there so you all feel comfortable with us coming into your home and taking care of your babies.  We will go through your pet’s routine and history and you can give us any special instructions for their care.

 

OUR WALKERS/SITTERS

We understand that it can be difficult to trust people with your pets and the keys to your house.  We take great care in hiring our walkers/sitters and would not send anyone into your home that would not be trusted in our own home.  You will have a primary walker/sitter and the backup walkers that come in are already employees that work in other areas of the city.  We try not to send anyone into your house unless they have met your pets, but do not guarantee that.  Our priority is your pet, and sometimes it is necessary to send in a walker that has not met your pets. 

 

LOCATION

We assign walkers/sitters based on location.  We try to keep everyone as close to their own homes as possible so that they are more available for their clients.  Because of the minimal driving distances, it is more environmentally friendly and cost effective for everyone.  Additionally, it helps avoid problems due to weather or traffic. 

 

COMMUNICATION

We believe that communication with our clients is extremely important.  You will always be left notes after each visit.  This is especially important for puppy visits so we can keep track of bathroom and eating habits.  In addition, we always provide you with our cell phone numbers.  Please feel free to call and check up on your pets anytime or give us last minute instructions.  Texting is our preferred method of communication for last minute schedule changes during the day so we are not distracted when we are with your pets.

 

CLIENTS

We started this business to give people peace of mind when they have to be away from their pets.  It is extremely important that all of our clients are happy with us and the service we provide.  We love your pets and want them to be happy as well.  Please contact us with ANY questions or concerns.  We are always available for our clients.

 

SOFTWARE PROGRAM

milWALKeeDOG uses an online software program that handles all of our business needs.  With this program, clients are able to schedule and cancel appointments, see invoices and payments and enter and update their information.  Your pet has their own page where you can upload their picture (please do!) and provide detailed instructions for their care, in addition to vet and emergency information.  Your walker/sitter will be able to access this information so they will always know how to properly take care of your pet and your home.

 

SCHEDULING

We will set up your initial recurring appointments and vacation times.  If you do not need regular appointments, we encourage online scheduling but you can also schedule through the office or your walker/sitter. Please note that when you schedule online, it must get approved so please make sure you receive a confirmation.

 

FLEXIBILITY

We always try to be as flexible as possible.  We understand that not everyone has a set schedule.  Clients are free to schedule random days and last minute appointments.  As long as your walker/sitter can fit you in, we will accommodate your schedule.

 

CANCELLATIONS

We allow last minute cancellations as long as you can get a hold of your walker/sitter before they have left for your visit. If you are returning home early from vacation, no problem, just let us know as soon as possible.  Please make sure to alert your walker/sitter if they are staying at your house so that you don’t scare them! If you get home early or stay home and don’t need us, but forget to cancel, you will not be charged for a full visit but there will be a $5 fee for your walker/sitter’s time.

 

PAYMENT

Our invoicing system makes it stress free for our clients so that they don’t have to remember to leave a check each time we come.  Our invoices are sent by email bi-monthly or monthly depending on how often you use our services.  If you live in the metro Milwaukee area, you can leave a check for your walker.  If you live outside of the metro area, payment will need to be sent by mail. 

 

INSURANCE

We are a fully insured and bonded company.  Please feel free to ask for proof of any of our insurance documentation.  We are happy to provide it for your peace of mind.
